Jayme Monacelli worked nearly a decade in Bloomington, Illinois before moving to Kansas City in 2007. Jayme’s work has earned her numerous awards from the Associated Press, Kansas Association of Broadcasters, and Missouri Broadcasters’ Association. She also has won multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Jayme got into radio by accident. She was squarely set on doing print journalism for a living, and started working at her college radio station just to have fun and meet people. She did have fun and meet people … and she met a career she hasn’t left since.
In her spare time, Jayme is a self-proclaimed expert road-tripper (not bad for having no sense of direction) and wine enthusiast who is on a tireless pursuit to make a meatball as good as Grandma Monacelli’s (she has a long way to go).
